Very nice, I am going down and having that installed as soon as I can. It doesn't have the same low rumble that the V-8 however, you can most definately tell that it has POWER ! I LIKE IT and Thanks for the link.
Just wanted to chip in, I have the flowmaster 50 series 1 in 2 out traveling through 4" duals straight out the back of my 2k 4x4 v10 Excursion. It is music to my ears, definately turns heads. I also recommend the K&N to complement the set-up.
How about a sound clip of the 50 series. I noticed the 40 has a bit of cackle when letting off the gas. That could just be the short length of tail pipe though.
Has performance changed for either of you. I tow a 30 ft camper and would love any extra tourque along with that sound.

I am not currently set up to be able to get a sound clip, sorry. However, the 50 (mine anyway) sounds almost exactly like abendx's clip but without the cackle/rapping/whatever-you-want-to-call-it when letting off the gas. I reused the stock tailpipe instead of turning it down.
I am very happy with it so far, but I have had it less than a week, so I can't really give youreliable numbers on performance gains as of yet.
Yeah, yeah, I know. In real life they probably don't sound anything alike. But, take away the rapping on your sound clip and it sounds like my truck. Probably due to speaker quality on my end, recorder quality on your end, or just the fact that recording and posting the clip results in a kind of "muffled" sound that makes that 40 sound like the mellower 50, doesn't matter. I bet that if I record my truck that it will sound different than yours since they would then be on "even" ground.
Yes, let me clarify again, a 40 and a 50 next to each other will not sound the same. I have ran them both on the V8s I used to build and they are definitely different.
