This is a really great site, I want to thank everyone for the tips on repairing the problem, as it probably has been acting up for about 2 years and it was fixed in under 30 mins. thanks again
what's funny is that everytime i go to my local ford dealership they cant get the odo reading and ask me whats wrong lol. i assumed everyone knew of this little "bug".
Jason Bord, I removed the gauge cluster, everybody that I talked with said that they had a hard time with the headlight switch, but with mine I was able to remove the whole switch at one time, I then used a solder pencil and had to repair three oins on the back side of the circuit board, where the ribbon connection was located, I used a 10X magifier to locate the bad solder pins but like I said, it was repaired really fast and hasn't missed a beat since repaired. Follew King Ranch02 mans link it is great. Good luck.
