so you do not have a type c system as you stated that would change things on install
relays to changs to pos., will work if not shorted by now. if you get it all working great I just hope you do not have trouble down the road as many others have had. was just trying to save you the bull. not selling you anything. years of doing this guide my op.
He wasnt trying to buy something else or ask for opinions on the bulldog. he needed help with his system...and with your website as a dealer you could have tried helped him rather than telling him he bought crap. He has the 5-wire system in there as you already know...why not try to help in the first place?
I ran all the tests as my instructions told me too, and I came up with a type C system. I have NO factory remote, and a 5 wire system (5 wires coming off the lock switch).
black04lariat, thanks for your help so far, I'm slowly catching on to the system ford uses.
Capital Customs, you seem to have some knowlege about this subject, would you care to actually help, or just tell me what i bought was junk?
I'm not a ford person, I'm a Jeep person who has a Ford Truck as a tow rig/daily driver, just trying to add some comfort items to make the truck more fun to drive!
I need to tear into it again and retest everything. I'm still not 100% on what system I have, since I keep getting diffrent answers!
I spend the evening putting a full cage in my Cherokee, figured I'd wait to see if I get some more answers on the F250 before I tore into it again.
I tested my wires, and when I hit the lock buttons, my voltage drops to zero on the pink wires. I also ran the tests in my manual and I came up with the Type C locks. SO the 5 wire system is what I have?
Did you try not cutting the wires and just tapping into them per Type A? They test the same and may be confusing. Did your truck have keyless from the factory or not?
as stated before with keyless it is a neg system and without it is a pos. system all remote starters are a neg system and must be changed to pos. with relays or door lock converter now as for my web site and wirring if he follows everything I told him
and checked with a local dealer on ultrastart they could have gotten the info to wire the system. and also the warnings of possible troubles that we dealers have seen
to help him so if there is any trouble with that fine but follow advice first then if you don`t fix it I would have gotten his fax # and sent him any info at my exp. back off.

So how do I test this?
You keep posting that you have all the info, but you haven't really helped yet!
I WILL NOT BE CHANGING TO ANOTHER BRAND, I'M KEEPING WHAT I HAVE!! Now, with that said, can you help me figure out my system?? If you want to sell me one of your fancy ones for $15, let me know. All I want it to do it unlock my doors, thats it! I didnt even need the starter, all I bought it for was the locks!
I understand this. as I said look at the wirring in your instructions to convert neg to pos
if you have the book still you can buy a door lock inverter or wire using relays but first
do you have a key pad on outside of drivers door reply to that first then if no then do you still have paperwork to install system if not send fax # so I can send wirring. all remote systems work for the most part the same but all companies have their own inverters
Hook it up according to the 5wire setup like i posted in the links before and as far as I know you should be fine. You could also just byapass the built in relays and add your own to do it. I would try that if you have it hooked up with the unit relays now and they arent working. Just use the output wires as if you were hooking up a Type A and run those to the relays...etc. may work.

just got done checking books on your truck if \I was wrong on type if you do not have keyless entry your system is type C a reverse polarity system and should test as pos +
like type A systems if you still have your installation guide and all tests were done and you wired it using the type c instructions and it still will not work the remote is bad.
go over it and be sure your test are right if you want to call and walk step by step send email to capitalcustoms1@comcast.net and I can give you my cell number.we will get you right or your remote is bad and you will have to replace it. sorry.
