K, first off its been a while for me on this site, sorry! However I did spend time and search before I decided to post this.
My '69 f100 needs to sit on the ground!
I purchased a '67 parts truck so that i could build the frame and place my drive train and then just swap over my body.
My thinking is this, will the camaro subframe, or maybee even a mid 70's/80's frame section work, I havnt seen these swaps. Being involved with asa grand american modified racing, we use the front half metric frame clips on our race cars. any opinions and or experienced advice?
Thanks guys/gals!
Put it on a late 80's - early 90's Grand Marquis frame it's probably less work in the end and it's a way better, matched, suspension - steering - brake set up than anything GM ever built.
A lot of guys have done this upgrade, although I have not. But I am not interested in "slamming" my FoMoCo Trucks. I prefer to tune & tweak what I have OEM.
The only thing I put X body sub frames in is a crusher, Hah.

Thanks fordboypete! i will venture to the wrecking yard and start measuring that chassis, you made a couple comments of intrerst- are the brakes larger, any upgrades available, steering in the front or rear of the wheels, frame structure better than gm?
thanks!
