What is this and how is it done? My 03 crew cab 7.3 PSD, front doors both rattle on less smooth streets...is this what I am looking for?

 

Basically you insert filler into the door seals. If you pull the door seal off you will see an area that can be filled with foam tubing or surgical tubing creating a tighter seal on the door.

Most go to Lowe's or Home Depot for the tubing (3/8" I think).

 

When I did the mod, it only got rid of the road noise. Did nothing for the door rattle on both of the rear CC doors. To fix that, I had to put black electrical tape around the latch posts.

I am glad I did the door seal mod. The inside of my truck is very quiet now.
