No not yet. But I believe it's around 5000-5200 rpm. NoMo would know for sure. He's a hot rodder.

I can honestly say that I've never hit the REV limiter. I have hit the speed limiter though.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Apr-02 AT 11:01 PM (EST)]You auto guys could find out if you really wanted to.Just pull it down into low or 2nd.and keep it nailed..Seriously,I've managed to behave myself the first 1000mi.and not get too carried away with the foot and rpm's.I'll blame that on the pleasing torque of the V-10 ,not my maturity. I have easily hit 4500 a couple of times since the first 1000mi.and it didn't sound stressed at all.I was just curious and don't want to get carried away.

Thanks for the info.

You should try it. I will. It won't hurt anything to peg the RPM's. Let's give it a shot! You first...

Awww... c'mon 4x4x4x4... try it just once. Heck, you have to blow the "cobwebs" out every once in a while. I clean mine daily.

BTW, the auto tranny shifts around 5200 RPMs- just short of redline I guess.

I've been known to do some engine dusting from time to time.
Seems like I have made it more of a habit with my 96 460 after I installed the Banks Power Pack.:-staun

Thanks for all of the good "advice".

OK, I just gotta find a road that I can do it on safely. I figure that it'll kick in around 85-90mph in second (1.54 ratio) gear. 'Course, I guess I could just leave it in first (2.71) and it should kick in around 50mph.

Oh heck, I'll do it on my way to work...Watch me blow somethin' up...

The speed limiter shuts down at 94mph. You can shut it off with a hypertech programmer and extend the rev limiter

Uh...thanks...

Why would I want to extend the REV limiter?????? That is there to protect my engine!!!

The same could be said for the SPEED limiter, but rather, it is to protect ME!!
