need help with selecting a lift kit

i want to get a 6 inch suspension kit in the future, so i am starting to do a little research now, what 6 inch suspension kit do you think is best for my truck. and also, would you HAVE to swap out the gears if you only lift it 6 inches and run 35's on the truck

my truck is an 2005 f150 stx 2wd

also any pics of lifted 05 f150 2wd trucks would be great

thanks

I am planning on doing the same thing with my 07 v6 2wd. I was told that I'd definatly have to regear to even run 285's and I was only going with the 2 1/2" and possibly a body lift. 35's may be too small on that big of a lift but I definatly think you'd have to regear according to the answers I got.

I test drove a 2006 w/ 6" lift and 35"s and the 4.6................ It was real bad!!. That truck seriously could not get out of it's own way. If you are going to go with that setup, I woould recomend going with at least 4.56 gears. If it were me I would go with 4.88
