thread pitch 1964 steering column
Hay all,
Anyone know the thread size/pitch on the 1964 and up steering columns? Different than the 61-63 units... Was a bit cornfused last night trying to get the old girl back together.

I'm seeing the same part # for 57-70 4x2 and 61-65 4x4 so that would lead me to believe they are the same pitch and count. The difference comes with the 66-72 4x4 and 71-72 4x2 for some reason.

Hm... Didn't see the truck it came out of, but was told it was a '64. don't know 4x2 or 4x4 (mine's a 61 4x2) Tab it up to an ***-u-me issue... Any-whoos, the larger nut which holds the steering wheel to the shaft turns out to be a 5/8-18unf thread.
