AC prob...searched already

Well, seems like the time for everyone to be having AC issues... my issue is very odd though. It only does it at low idle meaning warm idle, and with other accessories powered up. When I select any mode with the a/c working, the compressor will click on, and then a few seconds later click off. I had a leak that was fixed. Everything is full as it should be. For the cycling to occur the lights radio and other accessories must be on. The air will be warm. This is parked. If i apply the throttle to about 1200 rpms and hold, the motor will drag down about 500 rpms and the air will finally get cold. Alternator is good, and batts are too. Kind of baffling why it only happens with all the accessories on. Any ideas??

Do a search for "air gap". I suspect when your other accessories are on, the voltage available to pull the clutch in is reduced, and the clutch can't stay engaged.

Searched for air gap. I will do a 'tap' test on the clutch housing tomorrow after work and see if that fixes it. Compressor is relatively new though. Perhaps a design flaw? Reasoning makes sense though... On a side note, how is the IDM shut off system working??
