Hello to all! Hope I joined the BC Chapter (thru Forum tools) correctly... We have a 'family' '76 F250 Camper Special with the 460/C6. Bought it for $100 2 years ago and have replaced alot of components.... Now am replacing the unrebuildable fuel pump and fiddling with the autochoke. It's bloody unfortunate that Ford didn't use the rebuildable X type pumps that were on high perf Mustangs!
The cabmount at driver's side front is rusted out and the driver's floor boards are gone. Other than that she runs fine except she needs new rubber bushings on the front suspension control arms.
We are from Vancouver but the truck works on an island off the Sunshine coast.
I've never belonged to this Chapter - just been hiding until now. Yesterday saw a '77 F250 (rusty, dirty, 4 spd with a 400/propane) The owner said he'd call me with a price. The Mrs. was sitting right in the car while I sniffed around the truck and said nothing!!! Amazing, thought I'd at least get: "not another wreck!". Guess after 32years of wedded bliss, she's given up resistance...
