ac/heater problem

Thanks Steve for the posting. I have removed the **** and found it to have a couple cracks so I have ordered the part at the local ford dealer. I was kind of amazed that they did not have one in stock... but the guy was pretty friendly and said that they sell a couple of those each month for about $10 so I am crossing my fingers that it will fix the problem.

While the **** is off I turned the heat to warm so at least I can defrost my winshield in the morning.

Just in case what would you suggest next if hte know does nothing? Should I get down on the floor and see if when I turn the **** the actuator mortor moves anything down by the transmission hump? I am a computer guy and not much of a mechanic but would be willing to tackle this b4 shelling out big dollars.

Thanks again

Mark

No, that wasn't directed to you, Mark. Fleet Doc Rob was coming out of left field on that one. A previous misunderstanding regarding signature lines.
