I had the recall done on my '03 Alpenlite fifthwheel. Watched the "upgrade" being done. Basically they install a sheetmetal housing around the burner portion of the propane section of the refrigerator. Then they add a sensor above the burner, so if a fire starts in the burner area, the sensor shuts off the propane. This is all "good" if the fire has not started burning something other than propane.
The "upgrade" makes servicing/cleaning the burner a PITA.

Had recall upgrade done on my 03 Keystone Cougar. Had problem with GAS operation afterwards.m Turned out to be gas starved, needed to opurge gas line. Cost $50.00 at local Camping world.
Wife raised "HOLY HELL" with store manager because they installed Recall kit. Got store to refund $58.00.
