Hey everyone, not usually over in this forum. Just wondering if the SVT-sport trac adrenaline is a go or just a tease? some sites Ive seen still say its coming!
The Adrenalin was cancelled by Ford, but they have made comments that they are going to come out with a SVT truck in 2008 or 2009. This leaves the Lightning for a comeback - or they are going to actually produce the Adrenalin. I would like to see the Adrenalin myself, but that is because I would like to have the grille out of the prototype they made to put in my 07 ST...
I for one say enough games. I held off buying one of the last lightnings because ford said the next gen was a go.............still nothing yet. losing patience! Might have to do what your quote says and just build my own. thx for input

It how I ended up with a 'Cobra Explorer'...
I ended up with an '07 Ranger last year because they cancelled the Adrenalin. Then my wife let me know she was pregnant, so the Ranger wouldn't work anymore. In May, I traded it for a Sport Trac Limited with the 4.6. At least I can build it when I get the urge...
I've gotten to the point I would rather just buy a regular vehicle anyway, then put the money into building it my way. For what they will want for any new SVT, I can buy a regular plain jane and build it my way for the same amount.
I'm liking it so far. Haven't had any problems, but I've only put 3,500 miles on it also. It has sat at the airport parking lot more than it has been driven...
I've got some plans for it, but my wife is due in the middle of September, so I decided I better wait until after she delivers before I change anything. I don't want her and her hormones coming after me right now...
I do have a few things ordered for it and a few things hidden in the garage. They will be winter projects to put on. I waited on the wheels and tires until spring though. No need to buy them now and only run them for 2 months before taking them off for winter. Decided I will just buy them for my 'Christmas present'...
So about your new Sport Trac, is it the same size as the new Explorer now? Hard to tell from the pictures, and any I've seen in real life have been too far away to see for myself.
Nice looking truck by the way. How's that 4.6 work for you? Is it a 4 by?
