Need driveshaft help now!!!!

Need driveshaft help now!!!!
I removed the back part of the driveshaft to get it fixed, but do i need to remove the shaft that goes through the carrier bearing.... I'm going to get it all replaced i was just wondering if i could run it in four wheel drive (Front wheel drive) and not have to worry about that shaft causing any damage... Also will it hurt to not have any force on the pinion while the wheels are turning....Thanks

Its going to handle funny, particularly when going around corners (torque steer) but you can probably get away with it for a short time. Keep your foot out of it though - the front end was never designed to handle that much power. If you get heavy-footed it will make expensive noises!
