I have the ion crystal 520 fogs....the light is real yellow (supposedly the best to cut through the fog). They light up real well though....and kick butt in heavy fog.

I've never used their driving lights though.

I'd probably do one set of driving and one set of fog.

I would probably run them on thier own switches. I believe foglights work best when they are the only lights being used, I could be wrong though.

The PIAA's come with their own harness and switch.
Personally, I'd just do them that way so you can run them whenever you want......they may be a bit bright to use all the time.

And Beerstalker is right, one time I was in some real heavy fog...and could barely see with my stock lights. I turned them off and turned on the PIAA 520 fogs and could see much better.

If you have upfitter switches use one of those for the lights.

If you use the Upfitters...you'll need to cut the PIAA switch off of the harness. It's a 3 wire switch since it's a lighted switch (power, ground, and acc). You'll need to connect the correct wire to the upfitter switch.

I'm sure you could, but I personally would rather have a direct connection to the battery run through a relay to power them. I definitely wouldn't run all 4 lights off the fog switch, as that would be sure to blow fuses.

Now that I think about it, you could use the fog light circuit to energize the relay and run power direct from the battery.

Have you decided if you are running 4 fogs, or two running and two fogs yet.

i really dont know...i want whatever is going to look best and be most functional...i will probably be running them all the time, not just during the fog...i think if i do, do fog lights ill do the smaller 510's in fog and the 540's in running...but dont you think itll look funny with bright white next to a yellow light...? i might also just go with all bright white and blind the hell outta people

If you do a combo of fog and driving, I'd definately run them separately or you'll get too much peripheral glare in fog from the driving lights. Do the fogs thru the factory setup and run the driving lights separate circuit - you'll have the best of all conditions.
