Conversion Help on gas tanks
Im converting my 1976 ford 4x2
into a 1976 Highboy, I already restored the highboy frame and put the body on (what a pain) but now im running into gas tank problems. I have the long wheel base bed that has duel tanks and I was wanting to keep the inframe design from these the original truck.
Does anyone know where I can find some plug and play tanks that will work in a highboy chassi that I wont have to do any major changes. Could really use the help. Thanks.

buy a tank made for the highboy chassis. if in doubt check your local parts store. usually senders are there too. you may run into problems with tank straps, sometimes only the bottom is available. if you have old ones or source a set from a salvage yard. they can be made from thick metal strapping (from hardware stores) too.
