External Transmission Filter
I recently changed the external trans filter on my truck.someone previously cross threaded the housing back on so when i went to take it off I had no end of trouble.
Does anyone know if there is an a.m. filter housing available to replace the stock unit with,i'm thinking of something with a spin on filter similar to what is used in the chev/alison trucks.Nothing against the stock unit just figure the spin on is more conveniant.

Suncoast has an add-on external filter kit in their rebuild kit, but it's not a replacement for the factory set-up. I don't think the factory replacement parts are that much or you could try a salvage yard.
