Hey guys, need some help. At the shop where I work, we have a 93 ranger 3.0 auto that came in with a fuel leak. Found the fuel return line leaking near the fuel filter. The dealership part came as an assembly includng the main line after the fuel filter and about 2 feet long. This assembly connects to another set of lines near the driver side shock tower that extend up to the fuel injector rail. It is this line assembly that we are having trouble with. The spring loaded disconnects that attach the two sets of lines by the frame were so rusted that by the time we got them apart, it was totally destroyed beyond use. Ford has declared this particular line assembly obsolete and is no longer available-anywhere. We cannot locate any in any salvage yards in our area, and even if we did, chances are good that they won't be any good. Rust is a bad problem here in Ohio. We contacted Inline Tubes and they said that if we sent them our lines, they could rebuild them. Great! Sent the lines two months ago. Unfortunaley, due to a series of events beyond our control, the lines are lost. The shipping company delivered them to the wrong company, then told us several lies to cover their ****. In just the past week, we have discovered that the company the lines were delivered to by mistake notified the shipping co right away, who then promptly picked them up, and has since lost them. We finally got ahold of the right supervisor, who had no idea of the situation, and he vowed to get to the bottom of the mystery. Unfortunately, the particular driver in question has been out for whatever reason, so we have not been able to find out what happened to the lines. It's possible the driver tossed them out to cover his mistake, because he never entered them back into his inventory, or he could have delivered them to Inline Tube, but no one ever signed for them there, and they claim they haven't seen them.
Which leads to our problem: WE NEED THIS FUEL LINE!!! We can only assume that our original line is lost forever, so now we must search for a replacement, which brings me here. If anybody can help us out, you would be a real lifesaver. At this point, an otherwise perfect truck has been reduced to useless junk all for the lack of a fuel line. It does not matter if it's new or used, as long as it's usable. If you can help, please email me at dodgeram440rt@yahoo.com (I'm a mopar guy myself, but am a member here also for information for my wife's 89 E150 van).
Thanks for your help.

I have to think that there is a shop close enough to you capable of bending replacement fuel lines. Have you tried calling around to local machine/metal shops? Maybe a local parts store or mechanic can recommend someone.
We've checked all over and no one can do it. The problem is in the spring loaded quick disconnect. Most places can make the male end, but ours is damaged on the female end, the part that holds the spring. Also, these lines are either chromed or polished stainless connected to braided steel hose. Another issue is that in order for someone to make lines for us, they need our old ones to use as a pattern. Since ours are lost, that is no longer an option.
Thanks for the reply.
Is anybody out there parting out a ranger? Or maybe your local dealers might be hiding one? Our local dealer says that the part is obsolete, which means that all the extra parts go to a certain warehouse, and when they are gone, they are gone.
Call this number 918-280-6500 it is a large Ford Parts center here in Oklahoma ask for Ronnie he has always been able to come up with the obsolete/ no longer in stock parts I need they have a system that they can find parts that are on the dealers shelfs. Ronnie is a real handy guy been in the Ford parts business for over 40 years.
It is easy to fix this line. Cut it, install small fitting, but to be sure and to make the work easy heat line with biled water before connecting it to fitting. This is returl line and pressure is not more then 0.5 BAR so there is no risk on new leak if everething is done well.
