can your wire sizes be too big?

i had a hard start problem when hot with my 89, so i replaced the battery cables. i made new ones out of 2 gauge, the truck came with 4 gauge. is this okay or do i look forward to resistance problems later. it more than cured my hard start problem. just don't want later problems. thanks. Dan

the only way you get to big is if you can not
get it thru the opening to where you need it to go
when I replace mine I go for single O welding wire
comercial crimper tool to install the ends

On an application like this, overkill is far better than stock or under kill as long as you can still move route the cables.

Don't worry, you've now got a better than stock cable set.
