Hello I am new to this form as I just replaced my Chevy Express (read crappy express) with a 1993 E-250. I need to replace the driverside mirror and tail light and figured if I had to do it I might as well upgrade them to the newer look, but I can not seem to find information on what models are interchangeable and if so what modifications need to be done. I was looking at some after market Altezza lights in black, but the years stated start at 2000 to 2004. I have called 2 stealerships and 1 van conversion location, but nobody at any of these places know anything, but part numbers.
Can someone please help me? I know this is probably a repost but I can't seem to find the right information. Thank You
I wouldn't recommend changing to the all red lights. I think they're harder to see the turn signal. The light housings are the same, the difference is that from '92 to '95 they used and independent amber turn indicator, and from '96 to present they used a single red for both stop and turn. Why they changed is beyond me, but if you change the lens you will still need to retain the upper bulb, the boss is there to install it in the newer housing.
Thank you for the reply pfogle. I believe you are saying that it is possible, and that is good. I am not going to replace them with the all red ones, but with a nice set of aftermarket lights. You wouldn't happen to know about my mirror situation, would you?
The mirrors are the same for the E-Series ONLY from 1992 to 2002 or 2003. The newer ones have and extra stud that you must drill the door to make work. It can be done, but as the doors are the same (other than the mirror mounting holes) from 1992 to present it'd be FAR easier to swap the entire door.

Could you clarify that for me? I have a '93 E-150, and would like to change my power mirrors out to the new two-piece power mirrors for safety reasons. (To eliminate blind spots.)
What kind of hole would be so difficult to drill that installing and painting a new door becomes the easier option?

That was my thought process as well so I went ahead and drilled two holes actually and they work and fit just fine. It was a lot easier than replacing the doors.
keep in mind that my mirrors are manual and not powered. Powered may be more complicated.
