i have an 87 F250 4x4 that i am swapping my 460 and f350 dually rear under. Im tryin to locate dually fenders to attach to the long bed i have. anyone know of a place? lund used to make widesides but i cant find them now. also if i wanted to take my 85 460 and convert it to efi setup of the 87 and up what all would be involved? probly just do a stock rebuild on it and keep it carbed but just wondering
try www.jcw.com which is jc whitney i think i saw some dually sides on there. also try www.lmctruck.com they have everything! well 99%. just get some replacement body panels for a f350 dually and put them on your truck.
I just did similar c/o with my 87 f350 dually, it had a 351w 4bbl carb setup. I had a doner efi engine already so all I had to do is change all wiring from carb system to an efi system. IE: removed and replaced all wiring in cab and under hood with efi version added fuel pump w/wiring in gas tank, added computer ecu setup. I'm looking for a dually bed since my truck had a rusted utility bed on it.
Yeah they wont work for me but ill pass the word along to a couple buddies that have ford trucks. How much do you want for them? And where are you located?

I figure $150 or so. They sold for more than twice that I believe. I'm in MA, south of Boston.

The heads and intake mainfold are different on the efi models. The ports won't mate up (e.g. can't use EFI intake mani with carbed heads or vice versa like you can on 5.8/5.0). Not to mention all of the wiring nightmares. IMO, it's not worth the hassle.
Acctually i found out that the 87 stock 351 was not fuel injected they didnt do that till 88 so i guess the carbed 351 is the stock motor. so i would just keep the 460 stock also.
