Wow its been a while since ive been on here! Well my dad still has his truck and he loves it! Hes paying it off in a couple of weeks and i have him talked into getting new tires. Hes got the sissy 265 firestones on it rite now that are so wore down he has to feather the gas when it rains. Dangerious! Well he really likes the Toyo Open country M/T's We went and prices them out and im starting to like them also. But they are a mud tire and that is a heavy truck, how do you guys like them and how are they wearing? Also how many mile tire are they? Hes going to stuff 305's under it but i think im going to surprise him with a 2 inch leveling kit!
I have them, and love it. Very agressive looking tire however very quiet, i can barely hear them. In many people's opinions it is the best all around mud tire out there. I am running 35's on 20' however.
sweet. Hes worried about the noise factor, i got mud dogs and those things are louder than my superswampers. He will be happy to hear that. O and hey, nice job roastin the old tires off! LOL
I just got some 35" Toyo Mt's installed today I my initial opinion is that they look sweet and ride super smooth on the highway but they humm a little but thats with the windows down....:-).
The Toyo MT's are the way to go. They are not overly loud, look great, and I have thorughly tested them in mud, sand, snow, Rock and Hwy for over 40,000 miles. They are simply the best tire I have ever had. And, a Huge plus is they are Load rated E, or my size 315/75/16 that means 3860lbs per tire so you do not limit your load capacity for the truck.
I've had the Toyo M/Ts now for about 4000 miles and they're wearing very well. I had swamper before this and they became unbearable for me. These tires ride almost as smooth as my dads ATs and they are just a little louder. You can hear them at highway speeds but NOTHING like the swampers. For the big increase of offroad traction over the ATs the little highway hum is worth it. If I knew they were going to be as great as they are I probably would have splurged for a liftkit and some 35s.
