taking muffler off

If you can do that what would it sound like?

I did. It sounds good at idle and good up till around 2500rpm after that it is deafening and raspy as he11. I like it though.

If there was a change I didn't notice it. I think the only way of noticing any power improvements on the V10 would be a supercharger.

A few folks here have straight piped the V10. It's loud!
If you decide to do it, you may want to consder making it so that you can slip (and use clamps) the muffler back on and not have to re-weld it back up.
Just in case it is too loud for Mrs. GaryEK.

I hope (think)with the CC dually it shouldn't be too loud in the cab. The only prob might be sneaking into campgrounds late without disturbing the neighbours.

A dump valve would be nice. A guy with a camaro a few years
back had a vacuum actuated one that would bypass the muffler
at WOT, but use it in normal operation. Not sure where to get
this kind of setup.
