I'm sorry if this offends anyone but I would rather have a superduty putting out 100 horses than a butt ugly dodge putting out 1000 horses. Dodge = YUK

A Yugo is one thing, BUT, there REAL question on everyone's lips is: "What if it was a Chevy ?" Tough question I know cause I too would drive a Yugo before I'd drive a GM, but I've noticed SOME people do not have my high moral character. And even though they say they have testosterone running in their veins, they still drive Chevy's when no one is looking. How could they ? The horror, oh the horror,,,,
monsta the dodge v10 would also be somewhat modular, it is a 5.9 w/ 2 cylinders graphed on.
Lets face it guys ford has always had a reliable motor but it has been a long time since it has had the most power. Look at the 5.0 to 5.7 mustang/cammaro thing. Also the chev 6.0 has more power than a 5.4 also the GM 8.1 and dodge V10 out torque the ford V10 as well. The thing is my v10 gets the job done and it does it well also it is in a much tighter and well built truck.
As for driving a 100hp ford well if this truck did not pull my camper I would not drive it, also I would not own a SD w/ the 5.4 I looked at it and there is no way that motor would last pulling a 10K lb camper around so if ford did not offer the V10 I would be driving something else.
I'm sorry, can't take it back now. I have a 1982 straight 6 F-150 governed down to 100 hp almost done for you. I had to put the timing way back and weld a restriction plate over 90% of the tailpipe opening to get the power down but it is almost ready.
Cool! Think of the mods I could make to that. I wonder if I could get 120hp with a supercharger? Maybe even 140 with NOS. Maybe even ram air and some really cool stickers and a really big exhaust tip and a and a and a....and honestly if I had a dodge and the ford with the I6, I'd sell the butt ugly dodge, pocket the $ and drive the ford.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 31-Aug-02 AT 00:46 AM (EST)] The Dodge V10 (8.0) isn't really modular in their lineup.
It uses a crank sensor for ignition and a totally different intake setup than the other older Magnum motors. Also bore to stroke is different than the 360 V8

AMEN......
It all comes down to, if you want a dodge, buy a dodge, if you want a chevy, buy a chevy, if you want a FORD, then by all means, buy a FORD, and stay on "this" Forum. We like Ford V10, that is why we say"
