So i fixed my oil pressure sensor leak and the truck runs good. I took it to a shop this morning cause i have an electrical bug and my SES light keeps going on and off. So while the shop was looking for a short or a bad connection another oil leak developed. The mech. said my HPOP is leaking. I asked if it was the lines or the pump, he said pump. How in depth is changing a pump?
the mech said that the leak is on the passenger side, and that it couldent be a HPO line. he said that if there was a leak that the pump could not fixed and would have to be replaced. i was under the impression that there were o rings on the bottom of that pump and you could fix it.
If he gave you THAT simple of an answer, get it out of there!
These things can be fixed. In addition to the two ports for pressure hoses, there is a third that is quite commonly a leaker, and is even easier to fix than the two hose fittings.
I fixed mine with a fifty-cent o-ring, some time (about a day to let all the oil stop dripping) and some LocTite. There's a guy on eBay that sells the kit of three rings and LocTite for around ten bucks. Well worth it!

How convenient. It was fixed and now it leaks. It just "developed"?
