I have a 2000 ford f250 4x4 7.3 6 spd truck!
My truck has 97,000 miles and it uses oil it doesnt smoke doesnt have oil in water or any leaks of any sort it uses about 2-3 quarts (maybe more) per oil change interval is this normal for a diesel truck??? The truck has alot of power and runs good and i use the Lucas 15-40 high tbn oil expensive stuff!! Could anyone help me on this???

FOMOCO considers more than 1 qt in 900 miles to be excessive oil usage. What are your oil change intervals? Do you tow? Often? Heavy? have you noticed any drips under the truck. Check the valley of your engine is it dry? It could be as simple as an o-ring leaking. If you tow often your truck will use oil, if your OCI is 5K and the truck is using 2 qts then I would not be worried.
Maybe try changing oils. The other day there was something on here about Lucas additives and it causing alot of air in the oil. IIRC it had a link to bobistheoilguy.com or something.
