Add-A-Leafs???

Hi all, first post so sorry in advance for any goofs. I was wondering if anyone has used the front and rear add-a-leafs on their truck. i am looking for a small little bit of lift and also something to help carry the weight of the plow on my trucks. looking for thoughts and opinions and if anyone has used them, if they liked them. i expect that they would firm up the ride a bit, but its a truck and i like the ride. thanks in advance
Also my trucks are 2003 F-250 and 2002 F-350, both 4x4 supercabs 5.4 Auto's in case it matters
btw this is an awesome site, have owned superduties since 99 but have learned more in the last few months reading here than anywhere else. Great Site

I used them some years ago on a 87 Ford Ranger for the rear. I just wanted to stop it squatting when you put a load on the back part of the bed. I talked with the guys about how much lift I'd see and they told me 3/4's of an inch would be all. That was perfect for my purpose so I bought them.
When I was done, it was 3 inches higher, which made the 4X4 look like a 2X. And required a bunch more work on my part to raise the front.
The ride wasn't much different, but it did no longer squat.
Not sure what the add-a-leafs will do on a Super Duty, but can tell you that they did do the trick on my Ranger, even though it did cost me a whole lot more than what I originally intended.

welcome to the site:
You will find many different ideas and opinions for lifting / leveling your truck.
You mention two different trucks, and you are wanting to lift them both equally? The 350 uses a slightly different front spring code and a taller block in the back already, so it should be higher now. Are you wanting to go even higher?
AAL's are a common method for lifting, and adding capacity to a vehicle, but do so at a ride sacrifice. Changing the spring packs are a better way to go and will offer a better ride over an AAL. Asking multiple springs to add resistance is naturally a better bet than asking / expecting one additional leaf to do the same job.
For the the front of both trucks, you could use Donahoe racings mini spring pack for a leveling effect. This is a good riding kit, and should give you what you are looking for.
If you want additional heigth in the rear, you could install the larger 350 block in the 250, and you are done. Since the 350 is already taller back there, and if the ride heigth looks alright, you could simply add to the overload, or just install one if it is not there already. This will take any squat out without compromising ride quality.
Lot's of options here, it is just a matter of deciding what types of results you expect.

I used them on the front to level out my 01 SD, and did not have to change the shocks.

thanks to all those that have replied.......there are two seperate trucks and i was looking at doing this to both, mainly to help with the weight of the plow and when towing the camper.....the lift is more of an added bonus.
75F350 thanks for the info and i will look into the spring packs. also like i said i dont mind trading some ride quality to gain some capacity. thanks again
