ALSO I AM LOOKING TO ADD LARGER MASS AIR CALIBRATED FOR LARGER INJECTORS.IT SEEMS TO WORK WELL ON MUSTANGS AND SUCH WHY NOT OUR V-10'S?MY CURRENT SETUP IS NO TAILPIPE, NO MUFFLER, JUST A CAT. EXPERIMENTED WITH NO MUFFLER + TAILPIPE,SOUNDED LIKE A SCHOOLBUS!SOUNDS GOOD LIKE IT IS NOW.RUNS A LOT BETTER.I PLAN ON REMOVING CAT + Y-PIPE AND ADDING JBA STAINLESS SHORTY HEADERS W/TRUE DUALS. IKNOW IAM A BAD BOY!BY THE WAY I AM WAITING ON A MICRO-TUNER RIGHT NOW.I AM STUCK IN THE GULF OF MEX ON A RIG, CANT WAIT TO GET HOME! ANYWAY IF ANYBODY CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS THANKS

Okay...Granetelli (sp?) makes a larger MassAirflow Sensor. It is available at many reputable performance shops and catalogs.

I do not know anything about a larger throttle body.

If mrrottndog shows up he can attest to any performance gains from the Granetelli. He used to have one until he slapped on a Supercharger.

What do you do with the sensor when you remove the cat?

Where did you find larger injectors?

Seems like a lot of work. Why don't you have the heads ported and polished? The engine blueprinted and balanced? I imagine those mods alone would yield more gains that what you are planning, save for the addition of the headers.

I added the Granatelli MAS on mine after I had installed several other mods... Borla headers, hi-flow cat, Borla catback system, 4.56 gears, airraid air intake and filter, diablo chip.
I did not notice a BIG increase in performance with the MAF. But, I'm not saying there was none. I removed it 'per instructions from kenne bell' when the supercharger was installed.

penpal eh? seriously, about the micro-tuner, will i be able to change any parameters on the engine side or is it just a fixed program same as chip? i was thinking a/f ratio mainly.also i am sure this was asked somewhere before,but will it remove speed limiter? right now i hit the speed limiter very quickly.{I AINT SKEERD}hope to firm up shifts
very slooooow shifting now.has anybody installed a real shift kit in their trucks? CH*%#Y LIKE A ROCK BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL OVER THE SIDE THE ROAD! GMC--- GOTTA A MECHANIC COMING

 

Ok just read some more on micro tun er in superduty section and it answered my ?s about it. This is an awesome website

 

I had my cat off for "testing" for about a month.. No codes... Loud has heck tho so I put it back on. Noticed no improvement in power.

Yeah v-10 man, i think the cork in the exhaust is the stock manifolds and that stinking y-pipe! That has to be the most crappiest exhaust design i have ever seen! {y-pipe}well i will definatly modify mine. I will probaly leave my manifolds on at first while coming off to true duals.I will let everyone know how that works. I havent heard about anyone w/true duals yet, but here in Lousiana we can get away with no cats and such for now.i am thinking side exit like a lightning.I am wondering about a crossover tube but am wondering if i need it with odd firing order of v10, i guess that is another topic!
