FlowMonsta 40= Complete
Under Monsta's instructions the school bus muffler was removed and retrofitted with a flowmaster 40 and the results were outstanding. It sounds GREAT!!
Keep in mind this mod was done for $120.00 parts labor etc.
I think this is good as it gets with our "10's" As far as cheap exhaust mod's go

We must have went to the same shop! It cost me $119 and some cents.

Nope. He was excited about doing it. He had replaced a couple of V10 mufflers with a pipe but no one was happy with the way they sounded. He was convinced that the FM 40 would sound good but had not found a sucker to try it out yet. Then I walked in and ask for that exact set up.

I just finished installing a flowmaster 40 on my truck last week. I love it!! It was $95.00 for the muffler and 5.00 for a piece of 3" pipe to make up the lenght.I installed it myself, it was a simple swap. I had a dynomax on before this and hated it. This is the way to go for the cheepest way to get a pretty good sound out of the v-10, without it being to loud.

Well I decided to get a 40 delta flow! It should be here by tuesday.. I can't wait.. I got it for $67.00 to my door. Is it a good idea to reset the computer after I have it installed?

You shouldn't have to reset the computer.

$75 for the muffler, $30 labor (more overhead welding than I care to do on the driveway), $14 was a clamp, a hanger, a short piece of pipe, and tax.
No computer reset, no real difference in performance or mileage, just sound.

Well it's on! I'm surprised that it wasn't louder. I thought it was going to be too loud, but its just barely louder than the stock muffler..On the highway its not noticable at all! I'm glad I went with the 40 instead of the 70 series..

I love it! I know it can't be good to sit in the driveway and gun it, but I couldn't help myself. This is how Ford should have made it sound to begin with!!

Sounds even better from outside the cab. Have someone else rev it up while you stand outside. It's great! I get a lump in my throat and get teary-eyed everytime I hear it... I think I am in love.
