'79 f250 4x4
Looking at one of these now also. definatly needs alot of body work. how reliable are these trucks and what kind of gas mileage do they get? its a 351w with 400 head? i believe he said and a 4 speed transmission. sorry about all the questions today. dont know anywhere else to ask though. thanks for the help

As with any old truck, reliability can be questioned, but If the motor has been tuned up than it should go for quite a long time. As wth the rest of the truck, just depends on if the PO fixed anything on the drivetrain. If nothing has been touched for a long time, than things like ball joints, U-joints, brakes, etc. can be questioned, but that's with any old truck. Just like in your other thread going about another truck, if the PO says he has done "this" to the truck, see if he can back it up with receipts.
Gas mileage: You are looking at probably around average of 12 MPG if tuned up.
