I own a 2004 F-150 supercab, Heritage (old) body style. I would like to level it or perhaps raise it slightly but I am getting confused. I have been told it cannot be done??? I can only go 1 1/2", or 3" but will need new control arms which I can't locate.
Anyone have experience with this and hopefully some advice?
Years ago, for worn springs, you could get some twist in spacers to jack up a sagging corner. These were usually made of pot metal and had a 1/2" square drive to use a rachet to turn them into the spring between coils. I don't know for sure but you may try looking at JC Whitney for them. Good luck!

the 97-03 F-150 4x4 and i believe the 04 heritage all have a torsion bar independent front suspension. the ride height can be adjusted at the crossmember where the torsion bars attach. If you look on ebay you can find torsion bar keys designed to give an addition couple inches of lift. i'm not sure if these cause alignment issues as i have never tried them on my truck

That would be true if the truck is a 4x4. A 4x2 would be as I said though. I can't say if the Heritage was available with the 4x4 option. Besides that if monkyrok was told that it could not be done, it is more likely a 4x2 model than a 4x4.
