Gauge light replacement
One of the gauge backlights (Upper range speedo, lower range tach) went out of the early 99 today. Are they individual bulbs like they were in the old days or am I going to have to get a new gauge set? How tough is it to get the gauge panel out?

Individual bulbs. Panel is a bit of a PITA to get out but it's doable. If you have an auto tranny you are probably going to have to drop the lower dash panel to get to the PRNDL indicator cable to take it off of the gauge panel. Other than that, after you pull the dash face off, the panel is only held in by some 7mm hex heads. The bulbs should be normal dash bulbs (cant remember the number) They are inserted in black twist in connectors on the back side of the gauge panel. Do yourself a big favor and change them all if your gonna go in there.
