red line for V10

There is a lot of discussion about engine revs and the V10. I had to move my excavator today and was pondering my tach when it dawned on me there is no red line mark on it. Should there be and roughly at what rev should it be close to.

The V-10 has a built in rev-limiter. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it is around 5200 RPM, or maybe 5300. But that number is pretty close, Ken

That sounds right to me. The engine redlines at 5500 so they probably have the limiter a little under that. Benjamin
