I think some of you guys have short memories. So I'll start all over.
I want a roller cammed engine, NO FLAT TAPPETS. So that only leaves a 94-96 351W which are never found at Bucks. Roller 302's a dime a dozen and I want to be slightly unique and call it a 5.4L like the new trucks. I also want to use factory parts for the most part. A 351W has 2 factory EFI intakes, the ugly truck one and the sweet Lightning one. All aftermarket ones are $600+ and then you still need to add a fuel rail, throttle body and injectors. Where the 302 has like 7 different factory intakes. There is also a lot more 302 parts in junkyards than 351W.
The whole assembly will be like $1300 to my door.

Good choice with going with the 302. Tons more of aftermarket parts to choose from. So your strokin' it out to 330? I would check into a port and polish for that intake, egr, and tb. ( if you haven't already )
Just for some useless info. Edelbrock also had upper and lower intakes for the 351W also. If you were going to go that way ( 351 ) I would have recommended that over the lighting intake.
I miss my stang and capri and wished I never sold them. ( both were 5.0L )
I envy your project and good luck!
p.s. Alittle shot of nitrous goes along way on these motors....

Technically it will be a 331 but that's close enough. As far as intakes go the Lightning one is The BEST FACTORY intake for the SBF bar none. My Explorer one is just a cast version of the tubular GT-40. Plus the lightning one is like 1/2 the weight of the regular ones.
If I would go for an aftermarket one it would be a Trick Flow. You have to be careful with some of the Edelbrock ones as they are designed for a stock engine and perform poorly on a stroked engine.
I am gonna port match the egr spacer to the intake. I'm only aiming for 300 hp flywheel so my 65mm intake setup will be fine. It flows 690 cfm compared to the Mustang's 580cfm.

It just so happens I was reading one of my issue of MMFF and they were doing a budget 5.0L build-up. They actually used epoxy and filled in the coolant holes in the spacer. ( they noted something about not worring about emissions so they filled them in and polished the outside of the spacer. There also wasn't the 2 holes to the bottom like your shows. ( maybe they shaved them down and filled them in or it could be a lighting thang....)
Just an idea if you are having trouble looking for the lines you stated earlier...
I will try and scan the pic for you this weekend and post it.

You can ignore the lines if the temperature doesn't go below zero but up here in Canada, it prevents ice from forming on the back of the throttle body. I've already found one for the top and I probably could use a small chunk of brake line for the bottom.
Those bottom threaded holes are for the lightning/crown vic style throttle bracket. Those engines have the intake facing the drivers side and I'm facing it to the passenger side like the Mustang.
