Road trip!!!!
Well, sorta. On Friday morning, as soon as I get home off the night shift, my wife and I are headed to Borbaue (Sp?) Michigan. It's right across the border form Sault St. Marie Ont. Anyway, we're going to pick up a sailboat. It's a 23' cutter (3 sails). A Venture of Newport by Mcgregor Yatchs. It's a 1980 and all set to go. I was looking at one here in Brandon and the ghuy would come done past $8500. This one I got for $4250 US. So about $4550 or so. Done all the border crossing paperwork and will be off to the states Friday with the PSD. Approx. 17 hours one way. I have the weekend off and took Monday off as well, so that should give me lots of time to get it done and have a day to try to learn how to sail!

I know that would buy a LOT of really good mods. It kinda makes me sad, but not too much. Really looking forward to sailing. I've been doing lots of reading about sailing and the wife has done some sailing before.
Still plannng on going east. Vacation time has all been booked and the concerned parties have been notified that we'll been invading.
Yup, the CC will be making the flying trip down. I think we will be really flying getting there. Not so much on the way back. Don't want to hurt the boat!

Thanks guys. The wife will be picking me up from work at 5:30a.m. Friday so we can get an early start. All the paper work is done now. Just have to go get it.
As for my actual vacation, I leave *hopefully* on Sept. 14th.
