Any one seen pics of the 08 Dodge Challenger coming out. The only thing I can say to describe it is WICKED. They really caught the look of the early 70s challenger. If this thing drives and performs as good as it looks it is going to be an awsome ride. Ford needs some thing to counter this car. I think the 64 Fairlane light weight or Thundebolt would be a good canidate for resurection. There was a time when these cars would make most slopars tremble.
I like the basic body, but to be honest I think they need to put some bumpers on the thing. Right now to me it just doesn't look right. I still aren't used to the idea of not having something chrome on the front and back of a car.
I think it looks awsome. Another article I read said that they were going to range from 25-35 thousand in price. If I were in the market for me a car I would seriously consider ordering one. That thing is baddddd.
The Forty-Nine was only a concept, from what I read.
Also, Dodge has been seen testing the Challenger and it looks just like the concept, so how does nobody know what it looks like?
I have a feeling the Challenger will be a bit pricey. Base model will probably run at least $30K if not $35K. Top of the line SRT8 or R/T or whatever will probably be at least $40K.
Camcast had an article on the Challenger and it said it would be introduced early in 08 at a price range of 25-35 Gs. I dont know what the actual car will look like but the pics I have seen so far, it is sharp.
The callenger is concider a pony car and ford has had a pony car for all most 50 years. The are doing the retro thing because of what ford did with the mustang. I just bought an 07 mustang GT and it's wicked, it's the most exciting car that I have bought in 20 years. It looks awesome, runs awesome, handles awesome, it's the total package and gets 22 mpg around town with only 600 miles on it. If the callenger is half as good as the mustang, they may have something. I don't need no stiken hemie, the blue oval can get her done!!!!!!!!!!!
Challenger will be out in 2009, but nobody knows how it will look.
So far Chrysler showed only concept photos.
other than ford trucks musclecars (mopars especially) are my other hobby, and FYI, there is already a production ready concept Challenger built and Dodge has comited to building it in 2009, they even went so far as to let magazine editores take it for a spin on the test track, there was a huge story and pictorial about it in Mopar Muscle magazine about 4,5 months back. i'l check my archives and find the exact edition and scan it for yall to enjoy
