Changing 98 Expy half shafts

Changing 98 Expy half shafts
Anybody change out half shafts on a 98 Expy?
Anything I should know before I go in and start tearing things off?
It looks pretty straight forward looking at it with the tire off.
Should I bde changing other stuff while I'm in there on a 233K mile truck.
Also, is there someplace online that has repair manual access or do I have to go buy one?
