Yeah, the Hound will do a good job. Only limitations, I believe, are 100 lbs and 5-feet in length or width... and someone has to pick it up at the Depot. I had a fender sent via the Hound and it arrived in perfect condition.

I can't always say that about the other carriers, either.

It weighs approx. 180 lbs. this is why I have not been able to go ups, fed-ex, dhl, etc, etc. It needs to go truck freight, and I cannot get a shipping company to come pick it up for less than $800. That's more than twice than what I sold it for. I had ads on u-ship, and yesterdays tractors, but everytime I think I have a shipper, they are either too soon for me, or can't when I am ready. I need someone that is headed that way, and is going in a pick up that has room, and would like a couple hundred bucks for their time.

Joe,

Your luck just changed buddy.

I'm going to be arriving in Portland tomorrow evening and will be in the area over the weekend. I will be meeting my sister in the Tri-Cities area (WA) on Saturday. I can swing down (detour) Friday evening to Redmond and pick it up. I belive this is the F6 tranny for Matt B. in Westlake, LA.

I know Matt and I owe him a big favor as he saved my bacon last month on a pipeline project I was managing in Sulphur, LA. I actually discussed this with him at the time and offered to pick it up for him over Thanksgiving when I plan to be in Spokane. This Portland trip just popped up on Tuesday. If I can get it crated, I may be able to haul it back on the plane for some nominal fee. If you can get it cleaned up and free of oil before I get there it would make things go quite a bit smoother. Crating it would be even better but not necessary. I can do the crating over the weekend if I have to.

You also did me a big favor hooking me up with my 49 F2 so this is an opportunity for me to kill two birds with one stone. Don't worry about any cost to me for doing this. It will be on the house.

My phone number is 281-744-6711 (Cell). Give me a call and we can arrange everything offline. Look forward to finally meeting you.
