Hey everyone! Just purchased my first FORD! A 93 f350 crewcab diesel 7.3. I have a Chevy astro (v6) that I used to tow my 21 ft boat, needless to say, I burned the tranny up on that thing. I can't believe how much power the new truck has! Anyway, the truck is bone stock but seems to have a fuel/oil leak so I will check that out soon. Anyone know how to set the cruise? I don't have a manual and I know some cars have a wierd way to set it, like holding the set button for a few seconds etc...thanks in advance! Can't wait to do some mods! Oh yeah, am I supposed to have an air filter? The only place it looks like it could be is in the square housing that says BANKS, but there's a gasket in between and I don't want to open it if it will ruin the turbo!
Set the speed by pressing set/accel or coast button, speed has to be above 35 MPH give or take to activate speed control.
Tapping the brake pedal or clutch pedal will suspend the system, pressing the resume button will take you back to the preset speed (if you are above the minimum speed).
Pressing the off button will turn the system off and erase the stored speed.
Those procedures are true for the 1986 system in both of my trucks, so yours may differ slightly in actual operation, not really sure if it changed much over the years.
Thanks everyone! Does anybody know if there is a light in the cluster when the cruise is on? Took my truck to a mechanic for a once over, will get the news in the a.m, will keep all posted!

The 86 version doesn't, don't know about the 93's though.
