Does it works in our OBS?
Yep ...two bolts instead of three, & one wire needs to have the hole made a bit larger to fit on the solonoid...Gear reduction , spins much faster .. they all love em....You can call DB electic it think, they can fill you in....
It really is a very easy task in comparison to some of the other jobs you may do on your truck. Shouldnt take you more than about 1/2 hour if you are at all mechanically inclined.
I just bought and returned a brandnew "Nippon Denso " starter the reason I returned it unused is that it was not at all a Nippon Denso but actully a after market unit made in China with no markings what so ever as to who actually made the starter.. My local Ford dealer has factory authorized and warrteed starters for around 200. I also am on my 3rd AutoZone starter in just 13 months, auto zone starters are junk and will leave ya sittin on the side of the road.............

stick around a while and you will see me say this again and again....dont buy anything from autozone. cheapest parts store, get what u pay for. few more bucks will put you in at advance, kragen, pepboys, carquest, whatever is in your neck of the woods, and u will be better off (most of the time). if u really care about your psd, stick with napa, and what the guys here on fte recommend from the internet and other suppliers. don't use fram filters. get one, they're cheap, and cut it open. then cut open a good one, even after it's used u will be able to tell the difference in design.
I am having a hell of time trying to get my starter out 1997 f 250 diesel I have the three bolts removed and the starter will barely budge any help wpould be appreciated
as long as you have the three bolts out and your starter is junk.... hit it with a big hammer. its probably just got a bunch of corrosion or mud or something holding it in there. and just a note, DON'T HIT THE OIL PAN!!
