Lightbulb ???????Biggest Designated Winter Tires???????

Biggest I can find are 35" Yokohama Geolander ICE TERRAINS but they only come in an r16

Any other 35" DESIGNATED WINTER TIRES?

No BFG A/T's Thank You.

They are NOT Severe Snow Duty Rated in the Bigger Sizes and They Don't have a TRUE Winter Tread.

I know you don't *want* BFG A/Ts, but I'm pretty sure some of their larger sizes meet the RMA requirements for severe snow conditions. What size wheel do you have?

The BFG A/T's don't have a true Winter Tread.

The 35's and 37's don't get the Snowflake on a Mountain Logo.

Regardless, any size BFG A/T can't compare to a real Winter Tread like the Ice Terrains.

I want a 35" WINTER TIRE in an r17. The 35" Yokohama ICE TERRAINS only come in a r16.

What's a true winter tread?

You have a 2006, right? Maybe you could just swap the axle/suspension/steering components from a pre-2005 so you can use a smaller wheel.

Are you sure this size isn't RMA severe snow condition rated 325/65R18, or maybe the 37x12.5x17?

Dude, a True Winter Tread is not nearly as aggressive as the BFG A/T ko's, is SIPED up the WAZOO and uses a rubber compound designed for cold weather. The BFG's are OK but they suck in many Winter conditions.

WINTER

A/T

Drive with your brain and you'll be fine. Thousands of people drive with lifted vehicles during the winter and don't have any issues. If you can't find a winter tire you like, have a GOOD quality tire shop sipe and stud yours. I've studded my own tires plenty of times with good results. Just a PIA to pull them in the spring. I'm not studding my Toyo's this winter for that reason.

Pro comp has a 35x12.5x17 All terrain that has a lot of siping and channeling. I'v used SSR's studded which did surpsingly well. There's also a 37x12.5x17 TrXus Mud terrain which are suppose to do really well on ice.

I run the 35x12.5x16 bfg A/T's in all kinds of conditions with a lifted '04, it has a 6"lift. It gets sideways when I wnat it to but if I am not playing it drives just fine and stops very well. I have driven in the north east winter and it did fine. Just my 2cense

Dude, you can't compare an M/T to a True Winter Tire. The M/T's are OK in Deep Snow but they suck in icy or hardpacked conditions.

We can't stud here so a good Winter Tread and compound NOT an A/T or M/T is crucial.

OK, how about a Blizzak DM-Z3 ? It is an LT tire and comes in a variety of 15, 16, 17 and 18 inch sizes.

Like I said, The Yokohama ICE TERRAIN is the Biggest at 325/70/16 (35")

Those Blizzaks are only 32"

And I'm not Yelling...I just can't find my spectacles!

Yeah, but the Yokohamas are only a 16", and you're looking for a 17". It looks like that's as big as a winter-rated tire gets in a 17. At least, that's the biggest that Tire Rack has...and if they don't have it, no one makes it.

Why don't you just get a Winnibago and go to Arizona in the winter. You could even put a few bullet holes in it if you want to.

I've ran BFG's for years, I live at 7000ft elevation in the mountains, PLENTY of snow, and I've never had a problem. While in 2wd the truck is a little squirly....but if I lock it into 4wd, I feel completely safe. I think the tire you are looking for might give you a "false sense" of security, you still have to drive sensibly. There's my .02 cents!
