Why the fighting
If you drive a PSD I hope you like it and it does what you need if you have a V10 same goes.
The oppinions I give are based on what I see driving the truck 150 thousand miles per year if you observe something different post it but lets keep the envy talk and bashing home.
Yes!
Folks have passion for their rides. Unfortunantly sometimes that passion comes out in a "militant" way when "defending" their choice.
A healthy, productive, stimulating, thought-provoking discussion is good.
But as you point out, when it turns personal...well...let's just keep those types of posts to ourselves!
I agree 100%. I always liked this forum because there weren't so many folks beating each other up. But that seems to have changed with so many coming over from the diesel board. I've had diesels, and liked them, and gas motors, and liked them too. To get all worked over an engine is retarded IMHO. It's all just personal preference, but certainly not worth getting worked up over, not to me anyway. Ken

I couldn't agree more. My friend owns a 2001 Chevy 2500, it's comparable in almost every way to my truck, same size lift(although mine still sits higher .
) same size tires, his is the V8 though. Each truck has its own merits, his independant front suspension rides a little smoother but mines easier to work on and modify. Anyway, we were on the Elk hunt here in Utah and on the opening day we had a horrible snow storm. Well we both decided we can still go wherever we want. If you can't already see were this story is going, he gets stuck and I have to pull him out. our friend has some great pictures of me pulling him out but won't give them to me for these very reasons. I wouldn't let him live it down for about two days until, you guessed it, I got stuck and he had to pull me out... and yes we have pictures of that too! :-X23 Anyway, we both respect eachother's choices and each truck has its own benefits..

Someone mentioned how the v-10 forum has a lot more interesting and intelligent discussions than some boards or areas. Gotta agree - the knee jerk "every thing sux but what I got" discussions are pretty sad.
Some of the GTP and Mustang boards are like that.

I don't understand the problem, both engines have their merits. Owners of both need to be realistic about these merits and not flip out when someone else has another opinion. And why do we hang out on the V10 board? There's more than enough of you that hang out on the diesel board.
