So how do you guys switch from one setting to the next like that? I guess I better go look at the dp tuner before I ask anymore questions..lol

I'm use to the Superchip programmer I had for my v10 F250. Plug and play.

trailblazer do you actually have a chip or do you have a pcm that was flashed by Jody. Big difference, if you have a flashed PCM you can NOT pull it and send it in and still drive the truck. if you have a chip installed you can pull it and still drive in stock setting.
look under your dash next to the park brake and you will see the PCM look at the end pointing at you and see if you have anything sticking out or have a plastic cover over it.

I have a couple questions about tow tunes

1- I am assuming the tow weights listed exclude truck weight

2- if I'm correct I think I need 40 tow and 60 tow,is there enough difference to get both

I took a look at my PCM and it has the plastic cover over it. So, I guess I have the flashed pcm. The previous owner now that I remember said the setting was permanent. So in order to get the 140 or any other tune, I have to get the plug in chip?

if your PCM is already flashed you should send it back to jody to have it put back to stock or maybe trade PCM's with him... yes you will need the F5 chip to have more tunes and change tunes..call jody before you do any thing...maybe he can just add stock to your chip..what tune is flashed on it now???..do you know???

1 - The weights people are listing exclude the truck weight. BUT when I was talking to Diane they do all their figuring as GVW not just towed weight. She will go over it when you call.

Ron, the 80hp eco. is flashed on it now. Really, I dont need a ton of tunes,, I was just thinking the 80 and 140 (for fun every once in awhile). I very rarely tow anything past a 5x10 trailer so I dont need the tow tunes.

call jody tell him what you got..if you get the F5 chip stock is free..tell him PO's name and maybe he still has it on file and still make more tunes using your PCM set up the way it is now...let me know how you make out..i am curious my self...

i tow alot with a 90hp hypermax tune with no exhaust temp problems, if i switched to dp would i need anything less than an 80tow? b/c i was thinking of 80tow, 80 econo, 120, 140smoke and idle lope when i go to 120hp singles
