Yeah, I am actually thinking about getting up and going to go check myself...
Or making my room mate do it.

I agree. Mine is a big empty place behind the horn.

Back in the day I used to store my "scoobie snacks" there. Also good place for animal crackers and such.

Hey guys. I finally got the center part to my steering wheel project today. The cover has the airbag still attached to it. Im debating on removing the airbag from the cover before I installed it. Thing is im afraid the thing might blow in my face while im tinkering with it. Anyone know if I should be worried? Or is it safe to take it out?

I got to spend some time on this project today. I was able to remove the part of the airbag that inflates the bag for my piece of mind. It turns out the clockspring from the original wheel fit onto the new one with little modification. Just a little grinding of the wheel frame to make room for the connector. With that mounted up I was able to get the horn and the cruise working. As far as the radio controls go im going to have to get a little more creative. I will need the expedtion clockspring and something called and swi-jack, check out ebay. But thats for another day. Im happy now with the way it is. I have some pics to post up. It looks COOL. Not a bad upgrade for 30 bucks.

I love my SRS stearing wheel in my 95.

The thing is the previous owner really riped on the top and moved all the stuffing around.

GJ on upgrade!!!

i have a 95 that had no airbag stock. my wheel was junk and i ripped all the leather off and didnt like the surface underneath. so i found a 94 srs steering wheel and clockspring, the leather was messed up on that one also but i took it off and it has a very nice rubber plastic grip underneath. i would reccomend it if you cannot find a newer one to go in there. i am very happy with it.
