I said some thing in a thread this AM about washing your truck with Murphy's oil soap....I was out side washing my truck this morning and my neighbor asked how I get it to shine like it does..he said all that chrome always looks new..my truck always looks waxed...I do wax it twice a year..spring and fall..but I told him I use Murphy oil soap..he asked.." hard wood floor soap??"I said yes..he never heard such a thing..does any one here use this?? if not..you got to try it at least once..my grand father told me this many years ago..after a wash it make the paint on the truck shine more..it make the painted plastic look a lot fresher..gives the chrome and stainless shiny look..(I have a lot of stainless and chrome on my truck) and it doesn't spot up...you almost don't need to rinse this stuff off..I do..but it makes for washing a truck on a hot sunny fast drying day go much better..even if you don't wax your truck..this stuff will make it look waxed...after you try it .. please let me know what you think??

I will try it today. I just ran out of what I usually use and am looking forward to trying something else anyway. I'll check back hopefully this evening and give my $.02.
i use about a half a cup in my 3 gal wash bucket of hot water....no other soap is used...if you have spots already..it may take a few washes to get them out...

Ron, I haven't washed it in over three weeks. How good is it on bugs and stuff mashed on the grille and windshield?
for bugs i wipe a real soapy wet rag across the erea to let it soke in and let the bugs soften..wash the hood and then wash the bug spot again..it works real well...i wish i would have thought of posting this before i washed my truck..i could have had before and after pics for ya...
I know this old guy that every wash puts PLEDGE on his car, and it does the same thing, i thought he was crazy but hes been doing it since the 60s he said
