How long have you been using this ? Another tip I got several years ago is to use Bar Keepers Friend cleanser , on the windshield in a paste form swirl it on like wax than wash it off with soapy water . It does an amazing job on road grime that regular washing wont get off . I use it every 2-3 weeks . It will not etch your glass but DO NOT USE it on painted , chrome or any other metal surface or plastic . You can find it at WAL-MART or sometimes your local chain grocery store.

benny..we can learn a lot from the old folks..my grandmother has all kind of sick remedies...

fd1109 I have been washing my cars and trucks with this stuff ever since I was a kid .. one of my jobs at home was wash the car...may takes a couple washes to get the spots out..but after they are gone.. you shouldn't see any more...I hate spots on my shiny black paint and chrome....

Hey Thanks Ron! I just read this thread and rememberd that the wife was at K-mart right now, so I called her and she found it. Right in front on her, where she was standing! HAH HAH HAH. Thanks I'll try it too and let yah know. I've recently started using something on my Harley called "Pig Spit" It goes on just like pledge does. But the shine is incredible. It's more towards the show shine and doesn't seem practical for our trucks ,But WOW! what a shine... Thanks Agian Par'd ..Country

It's comes in a paint type spray can."Simply Wow Pig Spit"Spray and wipe. Its that simple. I don't know the cost as it was given to me by the Harley shop that does the repairs on my bike. I use it to polish the whole bike. OHH, my wife just walked in and handed me my bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap too. I just got my truck washed today so it'll have to wait till the weekend to try out. Thanks Agian! Country

It seemed to work very well. I'm not sure if it was the power of suggestion or what, but the chrome seemed to glimmer a little more than usual. I washed the wife's car first, and it's black, and it seemed to look really good. It was dark as I finished the truck but it seemed to work very well. I got the murphys at Home depot. They have the 32 oz. bottle for $2.97 I believe and they have a big jug of it, I think it was a gallon size for 410.47 or something. I bought the 32 oz just to try it, but it worked so well, I will buy the big jug next time. I have used the Bar keepers friend before on the windshield and it works extremely well.

glad it worked for you..it does make the chrome shine a little more..possibly cause of no spots..when you do the plastic it freshens the look up a little..I know on my running boards if I miss a spot you can see the different..after a couple more washes it will look better too..

glad to hear that..i thought a lot more people new this..it will look better after a couple of washes.what i like best is.. if it dry's before I rinse..it don't leave them nasty spots..now if I could get rid of the swirl marks from the PO wax job using the wrong kind of rag..

Meguer's makes this stuff called scratch-x,works good.It should help with your swirls, but it only lasts a couple of weeks, then you need to re-apply.
