Fan Blades are Sharp!

Do the edges of the fan blades really have to be as sharp as they are? It's like maybe there is molding flash left over on the edges of my fan. Whatever it is, they are razor sharp. I have a deep cut on my finger from contacting the blade while changing out my CPS yesterday. And I seem to recall cutting myself when I changed out the belt a couple of months ago. You'd think I'd learn...

And a pre-emptive comeback for all of the smart-alecks out there, YES the engine was off!! :-)

Anyway, when you are working near your fan, be careful!

I too have received some flesh damage from the edges of the fan blade.

I always wear gloves! The ford fans arent nearly as sharp as the blades on Flex a lite fan, which have thin stainless blades. I have one of those on my mustang and it will tear you up if your not carefull
