Well I've been on here and had the truck since January, It's about time I put up a couple of pics of the old girl.
Work list so far is an entire brake/bearing/hub job, new windshield, urethane bushings, fix the a/c, a couple of misc sensors, frame mount fuel pump and that cursed switchover valve filter. Also just put some new shoes on her, Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78 LT235/75/15 6ply (C). So here she is as she sits. Not bad for an all original 86 from near the beach with 382k miles on her.

Nice 86 Archion! It sure is nice to see so many 80-86 Ford trucks still on the road. Check out my 84 in my gallery, I finally got some pics of her in here.
Can you give us a little more info on the frame mounted fuel pump and what was required? My original pumps are 22 years old and Ok but for how long??? Looks like a good future mod...........thanks.

If you have an EFI truck then you already have the frame mounted pump. On an EFI truck there are 3 pumps on a dual tank system. The two pumps in the tank are low pressure and the frame mount is a high pressure. The in tank pumps operate at a carb sufficient pressure and the frame mount boosts it to the required level for the EFI.
If you need to replace the EFI frame mount pump, spring for the OE style large diameter Bosch unit. The aftermarket (airtex/master) skinny pumps are nothing but crap, dont really fit right and are noisy due to the higher rpms they turn. I have been selling them for years and nothing but complaints and comebacks to the point I dont even like selling them unless I have to.
Thanks for the compliments guys and that is a good looking red rig you got there Pkupman82. It must have been a blast pulling those Chevy's out of the sand...lol
I also forgot to add I bought it from a friend who was 2nd owner, who was longtime friends with the original owner. It was rust treated 4 times since 86 and has a spray in bedliner. The only rust underneath is the standard fly rust on the frame. All the bolts come apart nicely and just some minor surface rust where the paint has gotten to thin over the years. I have all original paperwork including the window sticker, finance paperwork, life insurance policy from Ford Finance etc. The truck sits as equipped when new.
Oh and something else, the exhaust was rotted when I bought it, the muffler and midpipe fell off on the way to work one day, ther rear cat was stopped up so it got unstopped and I put a 3" IMCO/JCwhitney catback on it. Sounds pretty damn good too.
Thanks again all for the comments and compliments. Makes me feel better about the old girl. Now back to the original parts thing. I changed out the rear shocks last night for a set of Monroe Gas-Magnums. I will probably got with sens-a-tracks up front later. Budget only allows for one end at a time, especially with the quad suspension up front. The ones I pulled off the rear were original, straight down to the E0TE*** part number. I know these trucks are built tuff, but damn a 20yr old shock that still mostly functions. They do push down with no effort, but pulling them up they seem new...lol. Kinda like a reverse drag shock.
