Here is what I came up with today. got it all running. took her out and got home just in time for it to die again. I checked the coil and it still producing lots of spark but it will not turn over. I put a fuel preasure gauge on the Schrader valve at it read 3 psi. I could see bubbles in the line between the fuel preasure regulator and the fuel line. Keep in mind that i have replaced the fuel pums and the regulator twice now just in case I got a bad one. And this problem occured before I replaced those which led me to replace those. What could possible be the problem now????????? The Haynes manuel says 40 psi should be normal with ignition on engine not running. 3-10 less with engine running. That is true before the truck dies and after it cools down from dieing.

check and see if you can here those pumps running they should turn on for 3 sec. when you turn the eqnition on. if they are not maybe the relay starts over heating? when i was working out my problems I got a schematic at the auto zone web site it has all the wiring you need to trace out the problems.. also if the pumps are running, mine i had found the fuel line had rust in it way back in the tank on the line right above the fuel pump in the tank it aparently burnt up the pump the person before me put in. (suposidly). The only way to get it out I found was to have the pump off the sending unit and to pour gasoline back through it mine was clogged so bad i could hardly blow threw it.. I think it rusted because it set so long without gasoline in it. ther is als an enertia switch under the dash mounted on the firewall almost inthe middle of the vihicle that shuts the fuel pumps off if the vihicle flips over. that is the last switch in the circuit might try by passing it and/or the relay to see if that fixes it. but i wouldnt just leave it like that, but just to test if it fixes.

I fully agree, try bypassing the enertia switch just to see if that solves the problem, it's a quick test. If it works it's real easy to replace.
