headlights and dashlights flickering
I have a 90 ranger 4.0l engine.
headlights, dash lights and guage in dash, flicker at ide speed in drive and in park then they stop when stepping on gas eny ideas welcome

Do you have a seperate regulator for your charging system? If so, make a ground wire and bolt it to one of the regulator mounting bolts, and then run it over and bolt the other end to the engine. This usually takes care of the flashing problem.
If you have a integral regulator on the back of the alternator, you may want to unbolt it and make sure the connections are ok, and make sure the bracket the alternator is bolted to is not corroded where it bolts to the engine.
